I have always loved video games and music since childhood and during the summer of 2022 I decided to finally learn how it all works. My favorite part of game development is game design. Thinking about all the intricacies and interactions of the gameplay, the controls, enemies behaviors, adversity, rules etc... I even created prototypes of board games with friends of mine where we would only think about the game rules.

On this page, I only post projects that I made to learn and improve my game development skills. Click on the pictures for further details about the project.

Masocat :

My first group project !

Made in 2-3 month in a group of student of 11 person. I worked on thinking the basic pitch, thinking the featurse of the game in a whole, making the GDD and during dozens of iterations i worked closed to the programmer to polish the game feel as best as we could during the short amout of time.

I had tons of fun during this project and i am really proud of what me and the teams have done !

I.C.EBreaker :

• I wanted to create a good difficulty in the gameplay loop this time so I made a single stage level where you have a boss fight. I like how Bosses in NieR:Automata have bullet-hell patterns with a beat-them-all gameplay so that's what I aimed for. I kept the graphics simple (got inspired by the "Neuromancer" book), and spent most of my time working on having a good feeling on the controls and a Boss with various, hard and beautiful patterns.

• I had tons of fun making this project, tweaking every little detail of the controls and enemy patterns to achieve something I'm proud of.

Neyetmare :

• I wanted to make a game with a horror atmosphere. I learned about how lights, textures and Unity layers work as well as how editor scripting works to create simple development tools for my games. I only managed to have a slightly mysterious vibe thanks to my music.

FifToWin :

• I learned to use a Unity Asset (A*) for pathfinding and how 2d platformers work with all the relevant parameters to manipulate such as the movement's acceleration, jump speed, jump height etc...

VEMS :

• It was my first time creating a game, I wanted to practice with something simple so I came up with a small arcade game. I learned and put to practice the very basics skills of unity development
